Introduction: (Due to the current situation I am only offering tutoring over Zoom: see below for details)
I am a Master's student in mathematics at RPI who is passionate about teaching and helping others succeed in their education. I have two years of experience as a math tutor and one year as a TA in calculus.
I can teach any math subject or help prepare for the math portions of the SAT, GRE, or any standardized test. Learning math can sometimes feel like learning a recipe; follow the directions carefully enough and the right answer will mysteriously appear. I can teach many such problem solving "recipes" but I always like to go a little deeper and show how math really works.
Due to the current situation I am only offering tutoring online and I have reduced my rate to 50$ per lesson. I typically see students for an hour and a half 1-3 times a week. Please let me know what works best for you.

As a professional, Martin is always punctual and easy to reach; he always arrives before I do. He is tutoring me in college algerbra and his knowledge is vast. We often have to jump to other levels of math because I need refreshers in lots of basic areas that algebra is built upon. He is incredibly patient and I cannot recommend him enough. Also, he plays in a metal band, so don't expect some stiff and boring intellectual ;)

Martin helped me study for my math MTEL. Math is far from my strong suit and he was very patient in explaining the problems and coming up with helpful tricks when appropriate. He was very punctual and easy to get in contact with. Highly recommend!

My son Jake is an incoming sophomore in college taking a statistics class this summer. He needed tutoring before an exam and found Martin helpful reviewing his notes and working on problems. He said he liked that he showed him different tricks to work thru problems and felt he was very patient with him with things he didn’t know. We will be hiring him again and highly recommend him!
