About this pro
Lucas is a great instructor! Not only is he talented, but he knows how to effectively communicate those talents. I have noticed a marked improvement in my technique and ability in a relatively short period of time. He generally allows me to set the direction of the lessons and has helped me learn several songs I have always wanted to be able to play. At the same time however, he also pushes me to try new things and learn new skills. It is a great balance where I feel like I am making progress while also doing the things I want to do! Best of all, he is a very friendly person that always makes me feel comfortable. His encouragement makes learning Guitar much less stressful, so much so that I find practice and lessons to be a lot of fun. And that means a lot coming from a person that spent their childhood dreading their weekly Piano lesson.Oct 18, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Standard hourly rate of $60/hr. I offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to address any questions or concerns about music lessons with a new customer first. We discuss goals, musical interests, prior experience, and learning preferences. I want to make sure every student is getting exactly what they want from the lessons, and not just a standard teaching curriculum for each and every student. Once these questions are answered, we will discuss scheduling, and set up our first lesson!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar Performance from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California.
