FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use an hourly rate of $35/hr as a basis to quote projects, and I apply knowledge and past experiences in various projects to estimate time based on initial work and how many revisions I think will be needed. Special circumstances apply from time to time, at which point I will assess accordingly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to have a (FREE) face-to-face conversation or at minimum a phone conversation with all new customers as a get to know you, get an idea of personality, likes and dislikes before beginning work on a project. I try to offer several options as the "FIRST DRAFT" to any project in order to narrow down style, and then work from there to tweak a project in order to get it right. Project scope, pricing, and deadlines are established up front in order to avoid confusion later, and I believe strongly in communication!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Advertising from Clemson University, and more than 10 years of graphic design experience. I have worked for and with non-profit organizations, small businesses and in corporate environments on technical writing, photography, graphic design, illustration, branding and marketing projects. Over the last few years, I have widely increased my experience in wedding and social stationery. The skill sets I've developed over the years have allowed me to apply various experiences and skills to be well-versed in event branding, small business branding, and marketing materials.
