FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every photo job has it's own nuances, so my pricing is generally on a per-job basis and I'm more than happy to work within budgets. Per-person portrait pricing decreases with larger jobs. I can photograph upwards of 40+ people per day if the photo style allows for it. Most of my jobs are on-location, but I also have a studio in Annapolis, MD.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Sometimes a client knows exactly what they need and all I have to do is simply work out the photo logistics. Most other times, a client needs a lot more guidance, which is actually a part of the process that I really enjoy. I've handled the entire spectrum of the photo/video process, from initial project discussions to final delivery. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before a photo or video project begins, so it's good to work with someone who knows which questions to ask.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had the privilege, early in my career, to be hired as the in-house photographer and videographer for a prominent DC-based design firm. I literally had to handle everything. I created estimates, scouted shooting locations, developed wardrobe documents, made schedules and call sheets, hired stylists, etc... For photo shoots, I handled all the lighting, shooting, editing/retouching and client communications by myself. The same for video shoots, except that I was also handling audio and directing.
