FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $65 per hour for onsite repairs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I discuss the issue and try to gather as many details about it as I can so I can fix their issue faster when I arrive. I also take the time to ask if they have any question about me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did not receive formal education in this field, I started out working with Multimedia services at Longwood college and learned at the hands of professionals there. Then I moved to the position of classroom technician where I was responsible for the repair and general maintenance of the classroom computer systems. 8 years ago I switched to a job at another small college where I was the sole support technician for faculty, staff, students, labs , and classrooms. I did both hardware and software support and repair on PC and Mac systems as well as troubleshooting for cellular devices. I just recently decided to start my own business so I could offer my services to the public at large to develop a more diversified clientele.
