- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
AT Number Mates we are ALL Annual Filing Season Program Participants (AFSP). We take pride in our on going training to provide the best services available to our Customers. Anyone who prepares or assists in preparing federal tax returns for compensation must have a valid PTIN before preparing returns. The IRS requires 18 hours of continuing education from IRS-Approved CE Providers, including: a six (6) hour Annual Federal Tax Refresher (AFTR) course that covers filing season issues and tax law updates, as well as a knowledge-based comprehension test administered at the end of the course by the CE Provider; ten (10) hours of other federal tax law topics; and two (2) hours of ethics. Number Mates Inc staff has a combined total of over 152 CE hours for 2016, that included the above for each of us. We are all Annual Filing Season Program Record of Completion recipients.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Individuals with and without dependents, W2 income and Self-employed individuals, Individuals with K-1's, have sold stocks, have rental properties, employee expenses, moving expenses, teachers, and Individuals that have Small Corporations or Partnerships.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I helped a new client with a new partnership set up books for partnership and filed the return for the Partnership and his personal return. It took a couple of weeks for him and his partner to gather the information they needed for their returns.
