- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Doug works hard and fights for his clients. Typically, we list homes for 3% commission to us and 3% to the buying agent. We offer nationwide and local marketing with professional HD photography. We can offer discounts if you both list your home and then buy your new home with us. For buyers, the seller with the home you are buying typically pays your realtor the standard 3%. If you are moving out of state, we can offer you a top notch referral. Contact us to discuss your individual situation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For sellers, we visit your home and, if needed, offer a complimentary staging report. We can help you hire movers for big staging jobs. If your home needs repairs, remodeling or general fixing up, we set you up with the appropriate contractors. We also coordinate with the contractors so you can focus on other things. Some of our clients, who qualify, have no out-of-pocket expenses until closing. We also work with investors. For home listings, we hire professional photographers and market your home nationwide, as well as with local real estate teams who may have a buyer looking for your exact home. For buyers, we will work tirelessly to find your perfect home in the location you desire. Doug is experienced at successfully negotiating and landing homes in a tight market. Doug has expertise in real estate contract language and all the details that go into buying and selling homes. You will be happy you hired him! He often saves the day!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Doug Shanahan, Real Estate Man DFW, is a University of Texas graduate, realtor, broker and Certified Distressed Property Expert licensed with the Texas Real Estate Commission and the North Texas Real Estate Information System (NTREIS).
