FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is different and requires special attention. While I do have standard rates, I address pricing on a per project basis. I am flexible and willing to work within your budget. Once a price is agreed upon, I do everything I can to get you the best value for your dollar!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to get to know new customers very well because I want them to feel comfortable and confident in the person that they have hired. Everyone is different and everyone works differently. I try to identify what my customers needs are and then tailor my services to them. I send examples of my work as it relates to their requested service as well as a price quote that includes an outline of the services offered at that price. If we both agree to the terms we go ahead and shoot our photo/video session. Once the photo/video session is complete, I take anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks to edit the photos/footage depending on the size of the session. After everything is edited, I send proofs or previews to the client with a watermark on it so that they can review their media. If they like it and the invoice is paid then I send copies of their media to the client without a watermark on it. The watermark exists to protect myself form any clients that do not pay their invoices. If they use my work without having paid, I at least get some advertising.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am 100% self taught. I have been blessed to have many people willing to bring me on to learn on the job. I stared doing photography and videography almost 4 years ago in college where I worked at the Media Production Center as an audio engineer. I was then promoted to a graduate internship as the audio department lead, photographer, camera operator, and video editor. I produced media content for the school's department but also for my own personal projects in the Music Club and Salsa Orchestra. After graduation, I worked a year long contract with a real estate group producing all of their home tour and agent interview videos and I also began freelancing producing multi-cam shoots and personal narrative projects that I continue to do to this day.
