Introduction: I offer high quality vocal and piano instruction with some fun mixed in. Credentials: I hold a music degree in voice performance from Ithaca College, have 25 + years experience playing the piano, dozens of musical theater roles under my belt, and recorded an EP of original songs. I travel to Boston, MA twice a month to sing as soloist for a church. Along with piano instruction I offer a foundation of music theory and recommended books based on level. I can offer sheet free sheet music from my own personal subscription to 8notes.com. For vocal instruction, I lead a brief physical warm up, then vocal warm ups/breathing exercises, followed by coaching on songs of all genres, touching on articulation, character work and musicality. It's challenging and good fun!
I love encouraging students, and ultimately witnessing their growth. It is gratifying to see their pride blossom alongside their mastery of the instrument. I can always tell when they like what they're hearing, and it makes the hard work well worth it. I infuse humor into the lessons to try and keep it fun.

Mrs Rebecca has been teaching my child for 3 years now. I, as a parent, can not ask for more. My child did a tremendous improvement. Very professional music teacher. Would highly recommend her specially for kids. She is always on time, her lovely way of teaching encouraged my child a lot.

When I began taking lessons from Rebecca Minor I was just hoping to get better at singing, but thankfully for me she was a visionary who saw beyond my limited goals and has helped me harness more of my potential than I thought was possible. Rebecca doesn't implement a one-size-fits-all coaching regimen; she clearly identified my strengths and weaknesses as a vocalist and carefully crafted a game plan to bring out the best in me. She pushes me to be my best, but she has an uncanny ability to know when to press for more and when to take her foot off of the gas.
It's easy to follow her lead because she is a coach with an impressive track record of performing both as an instrumentalist and vocalist as well as writing and recording her own music. Her greatest asset though in my opinion is her desire to see her students succeed; she genuinely cares. And she employees a teaching style that is very welcoming and encouraging yet challenging and rewarding. The proof is in the pudding though. I went from being a guy with zero confidence to someone who can step on stage and perform with a vocal ensemble, sing a solo for my church or even lead worship. I am proof that if you're willing to listen to her advice and work hard at your craft then Rebecca can extract a little gold from within you too.
