FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my fees off of the level of expertise that I have in that language and also the amount of experience that I have in tutoring that specific subject and/or age group. If I have to drive to a location I take into account the distance and gas. If I have to buy specific items pertaining to that job or to go over with a particular student then that cost will be added. For example, a specific book to consider with one of my students.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we set a day and time where we can meet (via Skype) and get to know one another. This includes their reasons and goals for learning the target language. During this session I assess the potential client’s level of understanding and ability in the target language. Then I create a syllabus for the potential student taking into account their current level and their goals. Last we set up a schedule for their next two lessons and the whole process takes off from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a TEFL certification enabling me to teach English as a foreign language to adults, teens and children. I worked in a daycare in the States. The children’s ages that I specifically worked with were ranged from 2-5 years old. I absolutely enjoyed that job and I’ve gained invaluable experience from it that will enable me to effectively teach your children.
