Noel Kalmus Art + Designer

Introduction: Hi! I'm a painter, illustrator, designer and photographer based in Austin, Texas. I have been an artist my entire life. I was constantly drawing kitties, bunnies, and puppies when I was little. Later, I was inspired by character designs from my grandparent's JRPG Prima guides. My evolution continued and I spent several years drawing manga. Today, my illustrations are mostly created digitally on my Surafce Pro 4. I studied oil painting in college and developed my command of color and abstracted composition, which strengthened my illustrations. My love of bright, warm colors and intricate texture carries over between the two mediums. My lifelong study of the elements of art and design as well as self taught Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills lend themselves to my graphic design work. My work experience includes corporate collateral design, magazine layout, and web design. I am currently available for freelance projects and commissions, especially chalkboard art, illustrations and print design. I love going above and beyond to move people and provide value with my creative skillset.
