Introduction: I'm a semi-retired 20 year home builder. Scaling down, but I don't want to quit working. I'm well versed in all aspects of hands-on home construction, remodeling or just the normal "needs fixed" items. I do electrical, plumbing, all types of flooring, vinyl siding,and the new cement siding ( also known as hardie board) decks, add ons etc. just about anything that needs repaired or installed. I have the ability to oversee the entire home built from dirt to turn key, or just hang a single light in your home. I'm not the usual builder, I never sit at the desk and not go to the job site. I'm onsite every day working right beside everyone else. I'm a hands-on type. If my name goes on it, I make sure it's done right, or not done at all. I can provide many customer references and pictures.

Our project was to install hardwood bamboo flooring throughout our home. We had several contractors in to give an estimate of what it would cost us as we had already ordered the bamboo ourselves so the project included only the installation. Mike's proposal, while not being the lowest, seemed to us to be the best for a number of reasons. He was very professional in determining his estimate, measuring every room, noting areas that would require abnormal cuts, etc. He was also congenial, someone we wanted in our home. We soon discovered we made the right choice when the material arrived. The delivery could not be made at our home and had to be dropped off in a parking lot nearby. Mike loaded the material into his truck and brought it to our home. That was not in the agreed upon contract for the job. He also did many other non-contractual things that made the entire job run smoothly. His installing the bamboo was magnificent. The project took a little more than three days. Mike arrived on the job promptly at our agreed on time and met his goal for the day before leaving. Our hardwood bamboo floor is beautiful thanks to Mike. I strongly recommend Mike for any projects such as this, not only because of his masterful work, but also because of his professionalism..

My experience with Cross Builders was excellent! I have known Mike for years, he is a person who is very detail oriented and I consider him a craftsmen not just a carpenter. That is something you don"t always find in this day and age. I am extremely satisfied with the job he and his crew did for me. If I have future work that needs done, he will be the one I will call on. I am a very satisfied customer, and if you should hire them you will be also! I don't have a standard pricing system. I price the service on several factors. Those being, what it entails, how long it would take, material cost, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
starting with a sit down and discussing what the project will include, time schedule and total cost of same
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for another builder for 2 years and then decided to go out on my own, and I have worked with the public my whole life. I'm well versed in all aspects of repairing and installing just about everything in a home.
