When my husband and I first met "Bre" she seemed very concerned about our big wedding day. She was attentive, thoughtful and proactive to my needs prior to even signing the Agreement. However, I did have a bit anxiety during the last two weeks of the wedding because the form of communication between Bre and I diminished due to her other obligations with clients. Sometimes I wouldn't get a response from her within the same day and as a bride, that was making me very uneasy. Every time we would communicate she had a solution to my problem. Day of wedding, it was really hard keeping track of her location, I am sure my family was pulling her in every direction but having the wedding planner run around the church and provide little communication to the bride was not what I had expected. The way she communicated prior to the wedding caused much anxiety due to the fact that even though she was busy helping guests, preparing the officiant and getting the bridal party lined up, she failed to communicate why we did not start the ceremony on time nor did she communicate to the bishop prior to the ceremony how the program should flow... my biggest hiccup would have to be making sure the program flows accordingly, review the program with the officiant and communicate any last minute hiccups to the the bridal party so everyone is aware of what's happening while 30 minutes have passed.Sep 2, 2016VerifiedAubresha Y.'s reply
Hi Kendra, Thank you for leaving your review. I am sincerely sorry that your wedding day did not go as smoothly as hoped. I strive to make sure that my clients truly have the best day of their lives. To help alleviate the stress of the wedding and other factors, I provided you complimentary services such as handwritten thank you cards and backdrop draping. The goal was truly to see your vision executed and for you to enjoy your day. In the event of your wedding, there were a few factors in which we could not control that caused many hiccups for the day. From the day that Young Love Weddings and Events was hired until the day after your wedding, we have communicated every single day either via text, phone, email or a combination. I personally checked in on you at least 3 times before the start of the ceremony. At 2pm - the set start time for your ceremony, I came to let you and your bridesmaids know that it was time to get started. At that time, one of your bridesmaids was walking towards the makeup artist to get her makeup started. When it was completed at 2:20, your officiant informed me that he needed to speak with the groom immediately. At 2:35, when they were completed, I checked in with you and the bridal party to let everyone know it was finally time to begin. The sound coordinator and soloist had last minute questions that had to be addressed right away. Your ceremony began 45 minutes late because of these factors that were clearly outside of my control. Throughout the day I provided the best service possible although I was not provided with the necessary music selections, bridal party and family members were not communicative, and guests who tried to take over aspects of both the ceremony and reception. Again, thank you for your feedback and I wish you and Dominique a lifetime of happiness.

We had our Annual Appreciation dinner for all our volunteers for our Kids Program. Bre went above and beyond all I asked her to do. From our initial meeting and talking through what I wanted, to setting up all the center pieces, and making our signage/backdrops, as well as taking care of the smallest details for all the name cards. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We like to get to know our clients personally whether it's for a full planning event, day or coordination or a simple tasks. We begin with the initial phone consultation to ensure that we are the best fit for each other. After, we will have an in person meeting to dive deeper into the details.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been an event planner for the past 4 years working with executives and professionals for events catering to 150+ guests. I was also a bride 3 years ago so I know firsthand the stress and needs during wedding planning. I have supported a lot of friends during their wedding season and my goal is to extend the reach and support brides in Missouri and Illinois.
