Introduction: I'm an extremely passionate musician who has devoted his life to the profession. I enjoy playing, teaching, listening, and studying a variety of styles and techniques. I'm available for weddings and other similar gigs in the Baltimore/Washington area and can bring a string quartet or similar ensemble so you don't have to contact four different musicians. I teach both children and adults on violin or viola or can be a practice helper for younger children studying with another teacher. I also teach and tutor basic and advanced music theory and music literacy skills. As an additional service, I enjoy teaching people who would like to learn about classical music how to get into it at their own pace. The only thing I love more than performing music is opening the eyes and ears of others to it and helping them explore it at their own pace.

Sebastian Stefanovic is an excellent musician. As a high school student, I cast him as our Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof. The director and I (as music director) wanted a violin player to play live on stage and on the "roof." He did both. I was so impressed with his talent, that I asked him to join the pit whenever possible, giving him violin, oboe and flute parts when it enhanced the music. [The theatre is small and only can field a pit of 3-5 players.] He was rose to the occasion with every challenge we threw at him, including stage direction. He competently related to and appropriately countered our Tevya, creating a unique experience on our stage. He gives a nuanced perspective to his music. I would love to work with him again, and would not hesitate to hire him. He is prepared, conscientious, takes direction well, and is a pleasure to work with.

I am a music director for an Episcopal church in the Baltimore metro area, and have hired Sebastian four separate times during 2014-2016 to play viola for special church services. He played special music for the services as well as collaborative anthems with the choir. Sebastian was well-prepared, professional, and played beautifully on every occasion. I would not hesitate to hire him again.
