I first had my doubts with hiring someone to take care of the small mold issue me and my wife saw but she convinced me to call. I'm so glad we did because a few guys came out and just gave us a price and then Jay came from Abate. He explained exactly what he was doing during each of the tests he ran and after digging deeper realized our problem was much worse. We hired Jay and his crew immediately. His crew was amazing they came in and took care of everything. There were no surprises and after seeing the space before and then after the remediation, let me just say what a difference. I highly recommend the guys at Abate Restoration. Thank you again so much.

Recently our sump pump failed and flooded our basement. Our insurance agent recommended Abate Restoration and we couldn't be happier that they did. Jay and his team showed up very quickly and got rid of all the standing water and set up fans and dehumidifiers and had us dried out in a few days. They worked closely with our insurance adjuster which was a big help. We had them perform all of the drywall repair/painting and replace all of the flooring. Highly recommend these guys, very professional.

We recently had Abate Restoration treat mold in our attic after it was discovered by a home inspector. Abate made the attic look great and gave us a certification letter for the people that are buying our house. They also gave us a warranty that we could transfer to our buyer. Really happy with their work!! They did a great job and I would totally use them in the future.

Hired on Thumbtack

Awful experience. We had some water damage and Jay quickly came out which I appreciated. That’s pretty much the only plus. We boarded our dogs and moved out with our 2 month old for 4 weeks so they could get everything done with us out of the way. When we moved back in pretty much only the floor was done. They left garbage everywhere and used our towels and things to clean and left them dirty and ruined. All of our brooms were also missing. It took me around a week to finish scrubbing everything from their mess. The house was painted but in the wrong color. They came back and repainted. I was told it would take one day and it took two which isn’t the biggest deal but they got paint all over our new white trim. Jay then called my husband and I several times asking for payment before the job was complete. Our agreement was half upfront and the rest when the job was complete. I explained that we weren’t paying until the job was complete and done right and he said that he couldn’t pay his employees unless we paid part of it even though they didn’t do a good job at all. I explained that we wer missing socket covers, screws, and brooms and I was told this would all be replaced. Instead of actually doing what they said they would THEY ACTUALLY JUST MOVED AROUND THE COVERS AND SCREWS TO HIDE THE FACT THEY DIDN’T REPLACE THEM. I could go on and on about all the other things that happened but that might take longer to type than the work that we unfortunately had done, which took about 2 1/2 months. We ended up not having them finish the project and have to find another company to finish the work. Only use this company for mitigation NEVER FOR RECONSTRUCTION

Abate can generally give an estimate over the phone after talking with the customer. In the rare case when testing is necessary the cost usually ranges from $50 to $350.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discussing with the customer the general nature of their problem so we can be as helpful as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Abate Restoration has an on staff biologist, they are certified by the IICRC and NORMI for mitigation, air quality testing and mold removal.
