FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Remodeling a home is different in almost every situation. We enjoy working with clients that understand the time it takes to properly plan a project. Customers don't always know the costs associated with various phases. Initially we try to convey an estimation of possible costs so the customer can make decision to move forward based on some general form of information. If the project moves forward, exact pricing will be determined and presented. Modifications can be made after that to get the total cost within the customers budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ever heard the cliche "the devil is in the details"? On remodels, most clients don't usually have plans and specifications ready when we arrive which is ok. However, to give an accurate price for the work, those items need to be prepared. We gladly invest the time to prepare a plan and specifications as a service if we feel the customer is sincere in doing the work. Consequently, when we give the customer a price, they can rest assured they know what they are getting. The process to present an accurate price can take up to a week on small jobs. Once it is reviewed, a contract is prepared which includes a schedule and payment arrangements. Then we go to work and finish according to the schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have 33 years of experience building, remodeling, warranting our work. When you have that kind of experience, a good reputation usually follows. Maintaining a good reputation requires integrity, professionalism and courtesy regardless of the size of job.
