The thing I love most about photography is capturing the emotions of the moment. If emotions are what you are after then the images will ALWAYS deliver. A simple picture is something that anyone with an iPhone can do, but capturing the emotions of your moment is what I love doing and why I do what I do.

Jack did an incredible job photographing our wedding in January 2016. He was professional and easy to work with. We told him the type of pictures we wanted and he was willing to work with us as well as add his own creativity to the photos. Would recommend him to anyone!

I don't rate something 5 stars unless it is absolutely perfect, but don't let this 4 star review take away from the great experience I had with Jack. He was good with communication from the very beginning of my posting, and even went out of his way to meet up the day before the event to get details and get comfortable. This is something that a true professional will do, and shows his dedication to his craft. Moving in to the event, he performed outstandingly well, taking direction and feedback like a professional. Anything I asked of him, he handled quickly and efficiently. He had good knowledge of the camera gear and helped make the event work smoothly. I will be keeping his contact information and using him again when I travel back in the area for work.

We are new to the area and were unfamiliar with local photographers and locations. We definitely lucked out and and found Jack using Thumbtack. He suggested several different locations for us to choose from, and even worked with us on a last minute date change. We wound up choosing a location that Jack had to be creative in, as it was not what we thought it was going to be. It wasn't an issue for Jack at all. He still got great shots of our family, and with 5 kids, that's not generally an easy task. We had a blast! Our pictures are awesome. We also got to preview them the very next day. We will definitely be calling Jack for our pictures from now on.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really like being able to meet them before the shoot date. It gives me a chance to feel them out. What I do is so much more than just pointing a camera and clicking the shutter. It's my job to catch who the people are inside, not just who they are on the outside. True beauty comes from within and if you can't capture that then you're not doing your job. So meeting people before shoots is ideal because it allows me to find out WHO they are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I never went to school for photography in the traditional sense, but I read all the time to better my craft and I've been shooting (semi) professionally for about 4 years.
