Introduction: I build generative, supportive and real relationships with dynamic folks of all kinds. To me, therapy is not about being "fixed," but about recovering from suffering and connecting deeply & authentically to your desires, hopes, and dreams. It takes courage to vulnerably engage with another person, especially when being close to others has been harmful in the past. I work with you to let go of old ideas of who and what you are supposed to be, encouraging unapologetic connection to who you truly are and what you want.
I love working with veterans, PTSD and individuals with histories of trauma and abuse, women, members of the queer and trans* community, and anyone struggling with shame, self-love and acceptance.
I provide psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and relational individual and couples psychotherapy, and creative arts and drama therapy, based on client interest and need. Therapy with me involves a blend of reflection, emotional expression, tools for symptom relief and change, and developing insight around inhibiting patterns & the impact of the past on the present. Drama therapy summons your intrinsic creativity as an outlet to express yourself. And you do not have to be an artist or theater person to do it!! I believe we all have the capacity to express ourselves through art if we allow ourselves to. Every individual has something authentic and personal to say, and that honesty is what makes it raw, beautiful, and transformative.

As much as we all wish for calmer seas in our lives, as your therapist I can’t make life stop being unpredictable and challenging, but I can guide you and be there with you in your pursuit of personal freedom, improved intimacy, and greater tolerance of life's instabilities through a playful and healing therapeutic relationship. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, playful and curious, demonstrative of my belief in the creativity and wisdom all people possess, regardless of how difficult life has been in the past or present. I am fiercely committed to understanding my clients within the intersecting contexts of their unique needs and struggles, as well as the larger factors of culture, race, class, sexuality, gender, and the impact of the worlds they occupy on their well-being. I am dedicated to getting to know the real you, and facilitating the healing you crave and an experience of trust, hope, and genuine care.
