FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It depends on the service I'm providing. Portrait and Boudoir Photography: I meet up with the client before to figure out the details of the shoot so that on the day of everything is already prepared and ready to go. Then we meet up at a location either in the morning or evening for the session. After about a week I will send proofs of edited images via email. At this point, I offer printing services for your favorite images. The printing takes between 2-4 weeks depending on the time of year. Headshot photography works a little differently because the final product isn't dependent upon a theme. For this type of portrait, the client and I will set up a time and date that is mutually convenient for the session. We decide on the background over the phone and location (often decided by what the headshot is going to be used for). Then have the session. About a week later I will send proofs for image selection. Your final images will be sent to your email with the option of printing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Photography. I have worked in commercial studios, marketing offices, and as an events photographer. I have experience with portraiture, headshots, fine art (paintings, sculptures, jewelry, etc.), product, and candid photography. I frequently use film for my personal work and scanning those images in has become a major part of my practice that I've extended to my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with a dad you loved photography and art, so there was no question that I would follow in his path.
