Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I'm a Coach and a not-so-perfect mom of two. I know first hand the challenges of family, relationships and raising a child--and teen-- with anxiety as well as ADHD and some depression. I know how stress and anxiety can impact your whole life--how you feel, how you think, and how you act and react. I specialize in relationships: Friendships or Romance, Families or Parents, Siblings or Self, Teen or Child. No matter who your relationship is with it can be the source of joy and love but also misunderstanding and pain. Family dynamics can go out the window when there is so much pressure all the time and relationships can suffer. So believe me when I tell you I understand the ups, the downs and the downright uglies of these interconnections. The intimacy of relationships can be a mystery--interesting and fun one minute, silent or explosive the next. They can make you feel like you are at your wit's end. Solving that mystery can be overwhelming. You can be doing everything right and things still feel wrong. The high pressure and nonstop expectations are so difficult to navigate and balance as a family or individually. It is simply exhausting to try to do and say everything right. Sometimes we simply need a reality check from a new perspective. I can be that for you. It's important to me to support you, listen well and ask questions that help you lead with your strengths and make decisions from your values. I also have opinions, ideas and experience I'm willing to share. I offer guidance, encouragement, and practical suggestions to make your stress and anxiety ease and to make your relationships healthier and better connected. I love having a positive impact on my clients' lives. I love being able to share this immense amount of information and tips I have learned over the years. All the struggles we all go throug--how great would it be to skip ahead to the end where you actually know how to help yourself, your family, your life better? I want to do that for other people; I want to share my skills and ease their struggles way earlier! No point re-inventing the wheel. Sometimes people just need to be heard; we need a voice and an ear. I can do that for people and it makes me feel alive and connected. It's true of my writing as well--that also brings me great satisfaction--especially when I get that feedback that it meant something; that it touched someone or that it helped them. There's not a better feeling than knowing you are making a difference for someone--no matter how small.

Dana is open and approachable. My kids find her easy to talk to, as do I, and trust her completely, even with very sensitive issues. Dana's no-judgment honesty allows us to be honest with her. She has a way of understanding issues from both kid and adult perspectives. Her insight, feedback and advice have been invaluable.

I long for the days when my children were young. I could implement simple rules, limit commitments and my mistakes presented only minor consequences. Then my children became tweens, teens and young adults - all bets were off the table. One may think that parenting gets easier with time and experience; this is simply not true. Every child is different and needs to be understood for their individual strengths and weaknesses—and they need to be parented accordingly—there’s no one-size-fits-all here. As a mom of three there were those times when I was at my wits end. As they say, it takes a village and it totally does. We all can benefit from seeking advice, reassurance, and techniques that will help us become better parents. Dana is a warm, practical and thoughtful parenting coach. She not only advises parents on how to resolve a current issue, but also thinks through the long term implications of various approaches. She considers the whole child/person, not just the issue at hand. Her ability to understand kids and teens with Anxiety and ADHD and stress issues is unique. She is an excellent listener, and has that rare ability to offer advise without ever being judgmental. She helps you come up with solutions that fit your own parenting style and helps you lead with your values and integrity. Her kind and down-to-earth personality —and her sense of humor—made me feel totally at ease. She just keeps everything real and you feel like you’re being supported by a close friend. I highly recommend her, no matter what your goals or struggles may be.
