Introduction: Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing. A Reiki treatment will leave you feeling re-energized, re-vitalized and re-motivated. What to expect during a Reiki Session - You will relax, fully clothed, on a heated massage table in my private Reiki room. It is a very relaxing environment with essential oils and relaxing music playing. There are a series of hand positions employed, but there is no pressure on the body, making it ideal for treating all ages and conditions. My mom explains it best – “it feels like a giant vacuum cleaner that takes all the life garbage out leaving you refreshed”. Most of my clients say that they drift off into never never land, see childhood memories or colors. A treatment can last anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour, based on the needs of the client. While I am performing reiki I am also able to feel if you’re experiencing any of these life problems; pain, upset stomach, heart burn, indigestion and so on BUT don’t worry I am not stuck with your pain it will go away in about a ½ hour after you leave. After the session is over we talk about what you had seen or experienced during the session. Most people experience my hands hot, cold or tingly they also experience feeling my energy still present and I am no longer even working in that area. Then we talk about what I experienced during the session- Besides being able to feel all your pains if any - I am able to see past, present and future; kind of like a life story. I am also able to tune into People and pets that are still here or have passed.
