Introduction: I am a professional drummer and percussionist with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance. I have over 10 years of experience in teaching students of all ages and levels of interest and can help you to learn whatever type of music you are interested in as well as helping you to discover new music to enjoy. I also play and teach a wide variety of percussion instruments from Classical, Latin, Brazilian, and African percussion traditions like congas, djembe, cajon, xylophone snare drum, etc. I like to play along with my students on the bass to give them real playing experience in their lessons. I am flexible to suit the needs of my students. Whether you just want to have fun and learn how to play some songs you love, or you want to take on a serious, structured study learning to read music and develop professional performance skills, your goals will determine the structure of our lessons. I have a home studio with drumset, piano, and percussion.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For lessons at my home studio or on skype, my pricing is as follows: 30 minute lesson- $30 60 minute lesson- $50 Weekly 30 minute lessons- $25/$100 a month Weekly 60 minute lessons- $45/$180 a month If you prefer that I travel to your address, I can give you a personalized quote based on the distance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to determine what the student is interested in and what they want to learn. I also want to know what experience my new students have, and what they may have practiced in the past.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have both a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in music performance. I have been teaching music for over 10 years, in a variety of settings from individual and group lessons, music summer camps, and classes for arts foundations.
