- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An introductory consultation is typically conducted over the phone to determine the scope of work a new client has in mind, explore expectations and options for work product and what impact the project will have. During the interview I determine what information the client needs to be engaged with the tasks at hand or any other information needed to help them more fully understand what, where, why and who is involved in having a successful project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised in a newspaper family and have printer's ink in my blood. Some of my earliest recollections involved spending time in the production plant, watching Linotype machines slugging out lead type. By the time I graduated from high school I was already deeply involved in politics and studied political science and economics in college with an eye on becoming an attorney. Later, as a legal intern and law office administrator in 1976, I was bitten by the computer bug. I have completed courses at the university level in information technology, worked as a systems architect, consultant and business consultant and was active in PMI and SIGGRAPH. And then the Macintosh happened and I was able to return, more or less, to my roots in marketing and design.
