I had to update this review. He was not very flexible to schedule repairs. He said he was unable to complete a repair due to the fact that he could not turn off the water in the building. I had someone else come and complete the same repair without having to turning off the water. However, Gil collected the money upfront for the repair and promised to refund the money since he did not complete the repair. Since that promise he has not returned calls, texts or emails. We've had the help of handymen in the past but Gil's work is the best of them all. He was immediately responsive, very professional / polite, up front, and fair when it came to cost. He figured out exactly what was wrong with two troublesome toilets and replaced broken parts with higher quality replacements - on the spot & fast. We also had a tub that had been improperly calked. Gil quickly stripped it, used caulking that was better then the stuff we'd bought for the fix and sealed areas we hadn't thought about. It looks brand new. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I prefer to look at job in person to be able to give an accurate estimate to ensure all materials will be covered thus properly eliminating over charging and or undercharging. ** Please if interested in paying hourly project must be minimum 2 hrs** Typically on a potienal project a diagram and sketch including square footage and any other info that maybe useful in the aid of properly presenting our clients with an accurate estimate and description.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Formal introduction to introduce myself getting to talk to the client and getting to know a bit about our clients is important. After introduction talking about project and ideas, after meeting i take my notes needed for estimates and or ideas to come up with for project. After which sending clients estimate through email giving full disclosure of charges and work to be done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 10 yrs experience in the workfield my knowledge consist of maintenance, carpentry, painting (interior&exterior), plumbing , sliding closet door installations, electrical, window screen replacement, deck rebuilds . I also have certifications from trainings and courses. Also have references to back up my quality and dedication level given to all my clients.
