Introduction: Serving in our military has taught me to pay attention to detail which is what I do with everything I do.Im a painter by trade for over 20 years and have been doing carpentry work for over 15 years. when doing any project whether big or small , i make sure floors and furniture are covered. I am a firm believer in using plastic and drop cloths. I also do specialized projects with Faux Finishes/ Gold & Silver Leafing / Furniture Restoration. I love what i do so i end up putting my heart and soul into every job i do , always going the extra mile. It's hard not to when you enjoy doing what you do. Every job is different. I like the challenge of taking an idea from paper to a reality and making people happy with the job that I have done.I love doing what i do. That makes all the difference. I like making a difference in peoples lives when they can hire someone like me there worries are over because i know have a solution to most of there problems. I know i can't please everyone but i try.

I have used big frank for multiple painting and carpentry projects in the past three years since purchasing a new home. He was recommended to me by a local hardware store owner. Here are my experiences and results with Big Frank: -Always on-time -He is neat and tidy when completing his work. Ie. Cleans-up and organizes his tools when leaving each day -Dependable and trust worthy. my wife does not allow any contractors in the home without supervision, Frank is the exception. -Fair pricing -Finishes the job and has gone the extra mile to ensure the finished product is to his standards -All Jobs completed have had excellent end results -I recommend him to anyone who asks Most Recent Job December 2015: I always brought frank in to paint after a contractor completed a jobs, whether a bathroom re-do, hallway/staircase wainscot, trim work etc. Frank always commented the next time I had trim or interior carpentry work give him a chance on the finish work/carpentry work. We had a den area in our home in which needed a make-over. I called Frank to let him look at it. I am extremely glad I did. His creative eye and knack for color recommendations turned our room into beautiful living area. He used rough cut lumber and stain to mirror barn/drift wood wainscot. He finished it with very clean molding shelves and trim work. Couldnt be happier with our decision to bring him in for the entire project not just his painting. Honestly should have used him on all of the interior trim work projects we had done.

Frank was hired to paint my house after recovery from super storm Sandy. He did great work and very fair with his pricing. He is very knowledgeable and helped me pick colors to corninate with my furniture and made a not so good situation look beautiful. I would recommend Frank.thanks again for all your help!

The job was a problematic installation of new hardware for the shower which required copper pipe work, while the tub drain and overflow was leaking into the downstairs living room, which needed pipe repair and replacement, and sheetrocking. Our house is over 100 years old, with ancient, non-standard, and poorly planned construction that makes everything twice as complicated. With the manners of a true southern gentleman, a constant positive attitude with bottomless patience, open communication and always easy to reach, Mr. Smith made sure the job was done to our absolute satisfaction professionally and flawlessly despite all the unexpected obstacles this old house threw his way. If you want a trustworthy, honest, prompt, military-punctual, positive professional with an unwavering smile for your job, I highly recommend Mr. Smith. It's nice to know we have a go-to guy now that we can count on. The work of a professional, the personality of a friend. Even our mini dachshund loved him! A true pleasure.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are many ways of pricing a job out. I have been doing this for so long that after looking at a job i can give a price in a few minutes. there are ways of pricing by square footage and other measurements but i would rather not give any trade secrets away. It took years of gaining the knowledge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the customer and asses the job. I bring a photo album of past jobs and color charts. Then go over job in great detail writing everything down. Answer all questions they might have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a true painter is something you either have or you don't. cutting a straight line is something that comes easy to me. I have taken classes years ago with faux finishing's. Everything else has been self taught. I've worked in commercial and residential. I was also a union painter for over 10 yrs.
