FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Estimates are generally based on an hourly rate. Because of my extensive experience and meticulous time-keeping on many types of projects, I have a very good idea of what projects cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every project starts by understanding your needs. That means I need to know your goals, target audience, competition and any concerns you may have. The more information the better! This is where well determine your objectives. I will then provide a project plan detailing your feedback as well as an estimate of costs, schedule and tasks to be completed by all parties involved. That way there will never be any confusion as to what is needed, and when, to create a successful project, on time and on budget. Once we clearly define your goals, Ill begin the conceptual development for the design. Generally I present two to three ideas presented as pdf files. With your feedback I will make revisions to the chosen design direction. When the design direction is approved, and all final, approved text and information for graphics is received, its time to fine tune the look and create the entire layout complete with graphics and images. You will then have the opportunity to make text corrections. As a standard, I build two rounds of minor text corrections into the proposal. If you know that you typically need more, just let me know and I can advise you on how that might affect the cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design. Worked in several design firms to gain experience and learn the business side of graphic design. Owner of Eclipse Design Group for 25+ years.
