Mathieu's Drum Lessons

Introduction: Whether you want to play heavy metal or jazz, I can give you the tools you need to reach your goals. Lessons are organized and customized to fit your needs. I can give lessons in English, Spanish or French. I've been playing drums for the last 23 years, touring and recording in Europe for the last 10 years, and teaching drums for the last 7 years. I graduated from two schools, one for modern music (rock, metal, reggae etc..) and a Bachelor degree in jazz. My main purpose is to give the students the tools to learn and get better, but also to teach them how to create new ways to learn on their own outside of their lessons. Thinking of music as a language, I can teach you how to memorize and repeat a text word for word, but more importantly, I teach you how to create words and to be able to say whatever you want. I focus on each individual student's needs. Whether you want to learn the basics of rock without reading or need to prepare a jazz big band audition, I'll be able to help you reach your goal. I do everything I can to make each lesson a very positive experience, being encouraging and funny, while making sure you are learning what you need to learn. I'm fluent in English, Spanish and French.
