FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do an in-depth intake with a new client, i generally like to ask how long has it been since their last massage session, what is their occupation, if they play any sports or engage in any strenuous physical activities etc. This helps to give me an idea as to what is going on in the clients body and what stresses they place on themselves on a daily basis It helps me to further develop a treatment plan and discern which techniques would be appropriate and which techniques might not be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained at the Swedish institute college of health sciences, fulfilling a required 1200 hours of training for a duration of 16 months. There i learned a wide array of subjects involving anatomy, neurology, pathology, business and professional development, eastern modalities of massage, and first aid and CPR.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
i started giving massages to my friends in junior high school and found it to be very rewarding to help my friends relax and feel better, I continued to give massage throughout high school where a large majority of my friends kept suggesting i go to school for it. I listened and it was an amazing and rewarding decision!
