Introduction: I'm conveniently located just a few stops from Union Square and I have two drum kits set up at my studio. I've found this idea of playing together helps my students learn more quickly and efficiently, rather than me doing a lot of talking and having them play things for me like it's some sort of presentation. I always make sure my students leave each lesson both playing better and feeling better about their playing than they did when they arrived. I just set up an Instagram with videos and some pictures of my performances (see website section) Thanks! I love that moment where things start to click for a student. When something they found challenging suddenly becomes easy. I'm fascinated with what resonates with people. There are so many different ways of explaining and teaching a thing. And I love discovering what sticks, what works, and what doesn't, for each student.
