FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The prices listed for the band are based on a 4 piece band (rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass and drums). We can add musicians such as pedal steel/lapsteel/dobro, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, keyboards, female vocalists etc. Price TBD. If you are looking for a solo or duo performance please feel free to ask, price is generally lower.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with the client in person or on the phone soon after initial contact, to establish rapport and fill in the information and add a personal touch. That being said, having all the information in an email helps a lot: Date(s), begin & end times, location, and such details as song requests and number of guests/size of venue. Anything I can do in advance to meet expectations and tailor the performance to the client's needs always makes the event run smoothly and helps everyone involved to enjoy themselves to the utmost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught musician and songwriter. The guys and gals in my band are all drop-dead professionals, generally with degrees and years of touring, recording and stage performances behind them. The lineup may change somewhat from day to day as some are called to tour with a stadium act or Broadway play, and subs are called in. Also, depending on the client's needs I may for instance hire a female fiddle player if a Texas vibe and Dolly Parton song are called for.
