Mike is a very kind and understanding individual. He clearly cares about what he does and is very passionate about it. He also looks at working out with multiple lenses and takes time to get to know his clients. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to get a personal trainer. Unfortunately I did not hire him (yet) because of some personal things I need to take care of, but when I do look for a personal trainer again, he will definitely be the one I hire!Aug 1, 2018Verified
I couldn't have had a better experience than what I had with Mike. I had been trying to lose about 20-25 lbs by myself for the last 3 years, but could never motivate myself enough to eat well and exercise. Mike helped with exactly that. He got to know me and my goals and held me accountable in achieving them. Mike knows his stuff with nutrition and helped me find good tasting meals that were also healthy. He was a great personal trainer as well and showed me how to do a lot of exercises that I continue to do at home. I was able to complete my goals with him pretty quickly. Mike is amazing! You can really tell he cares about his clients, he checks in via text throughout the week to keep fitness and eating right top of mind, which we appreciate! He is always on time, and our sessions consist of workouts that take our personal needs, goals and injuries in mind. I love that he also focuses on nutrition and has provided so many great suggestions and encouragement to fit it into our real life. He is not some "meat-head" trainer, he is kind, caring, compassionate and professional. In addition, I offer incredible value as a Registered Dietitian by offering customized nutrition guidance FREE of charge for clients who train with me. Sessions start as low as $27 per person for partner sessions and as low as $50 for individual sessions. Cash discounts and monthly commitment discounts available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I get to know my clients as people including goals, motivation, obstacles, etc. My goal is to take the fear, dread and anxiety out of being physically active, eating healthfully, and managing health. I try to find relatively easy starting points to build momentum and progress, while carrying out exercises appropriate for client's abilities and goals. I help clients realize what they want to do, verses telling them what to do. As we start to work together we: -Carryout a medical and fitness questionnaire. -Calculate individual needs based on height, age, weight, gender and activity level. -Take optional body fat and circumference measurements to track progress. -Get the body moving and make sure foundational strength and movements are carried out safely -lay out foundational education on weight management, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
