FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard hourly rate of $50 per hour, but this does vary as each project is different. Building a blog theme would take considerably less time then scoping and developing a SaaS solution for a startup business.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With working with a new client on web development projects, there is a gating process that I follow. Used by the most successful project managers in my field, the gating process: 1. Keeps track of the status of projects 2. Keeps the client well in the know of the status of projects 3. I will know where I am at with my client 4. And I will be able to give them a precise deadline and the client will know exactly at dates and time when we need to discuss matters, handle deadlines, payments, etc. TYPICAL PROCESS: 1. DISCOVERY 2. USE CASES 3. COSTS 4. DISCUSS SCOPE & TIMELINE 5. APPROVALS FOR SCOPE 6. PROTOTYPING 7. DESIGN PHASE 8. DESIGN APPROVALS 9. DEVELOPMENT PHASE 10. QUALITY ASSURANCE and USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING 11. APPROVALS AND FINAL QA TESTING 12. RELEASE OF PROJECT/LAUNCH 13. HOSTING/POST CARE
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have nearly a decade of experience building websites and consulting with different businesses that range from restaurants, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, direct response marketing, interactive agencies. In dealing with each different industry brings a new scope of concern that you need solve problems for. Any programmer/developer can build a website: Designs and code play a small part of the process for when it comes to the entire process of end to end digital development. You also need to put yourself in your core client's shoes and think about what you want them to do, either taking an action or closing on your next deal or sale.
