Kristina taught me the basics of guitar when I had no idea on even how to hold a guitar properly. She is an excellent teacher and I am so very thankful she accepted to teach me. She gave me sheets to practice and various tips to learn and practice . She quickly noticed what I was doing wrong and gave guidelines and specific tips to improve what was lacking. She has great knowledge of history of music and is fluent with different music genres as well. Upon Knowing that I was interested in music history, she wrote up music history in long detail to share her knowledge with me, which I am really very thankful for. She was always on time, and was very easy to communicate and an absolute gem of a person. You don’t need to give her a second thought if you are looking to hire a music teacher.

As a novice guitar player, I can honestly say that selecting Kristina as my first instructor was the best decision I made. She teaches you the fundamentals of guitar playing and she adapts her lessons to whatever you want to achieve. She is extremely knowledgeable and is a professional musician with the right experience and education. I made progress fairly quickly thanks to her lessons. Whether you are a beginner like me or an advanced player, Kristina would be great for either one. The price for the lessons is very competitive, she drives to your location, and she works with you as far as scheduling the sessions. I highly recommend Kristina without any reservations.

I really enjoyed her personality and willingness to teach my son! Her pricing was reasonable and the best part is that she travels to us! She also brings all tools needed to each lesson with obviously eventually purchasing your own guitar! Highly recommended!

I took few guitarlessons with Kristina when I was in the University of Texas, RGV. I was new to the subject and she patiently taught me the fundamentals of the subject. She knows the subject and I highly recommend her.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$45/hour, regardless of age or level. (Children are encouraged to begin with 30 min sessions.)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Assessing the level of playing, what the student is interested in learning, and then go from there! You should never fit all students into one mold/method of teaching. Every student is a unique individual who each have their own learning needs, interests, and rate of growth! You will NEVER have to buy "one-for-all" method books with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors of Music Education with Guitar Concentration from the University of Texas at Brownsville (now the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley). Texas State Certified Teacher. Completed one year at San Marcos, Tx, Masters in Music at Texas State University. Experience having taught in BISD (Brownsville) and AustinISD.
