- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices vary depending on the service requested. Event Services such as waitstaff are charged on an hourly basis. Cooking Classes begin at $65 per person. We accept up to six people per class. Private Chef Services are charged at a flat rate plus cost of groceries.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each new Private Chef client will be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire to determine their food preferences and needs. From there, we will develop a customized menu together. We can provide weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or one-time services. Customers interested in Private Cooking Classes will get to choose from different courses. Six Basic Cooking Skills (Our most popular course!): -Making Friends with Your Chef Knife (Mince, chop, and slice like a pro) -Cooking Meat to Perfection (make restaurant quality meals in your own home.) -Making Pan Sauces (It's all about the fond.) -Roasting Vegetables -Blanching Green Vegetables -Cooking Leafy Greens -Additional services include: Kitchen Organization, Kitchen Equipment Basics, Nutrition Assessment
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After attending Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, I completed an apprenticeship at Dos Brisas Resort ( Texas' only 5 Star Restuarant) as well as the Driskill Hotel in Austin. I have worked as an Executive Pastry Chef and Executive Chef for numerous local business. I specialize in budget-friendly cooking, Texas BBQ, healthy cooking, and special dietary needs.
