Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We always take pride in our work, no matter what we are doing and won't be satisfied until the job is done the right way. We do everything from interior, exterior, refinish hardwood floors, applying/removing texture, faux painting, cabinet work, power washing, and wallpaper application/removal. We provide more services than listed. I enjoy being able to stand back and look at the improvements made and know that I was a part of it. It really is a great feeling when the job is done and both parties are satisfied. It really is a rewarding job!

Hired on Thumbtack

We had our downstairs entryway, foyer and open stairwell which is open to second floor and very tall, and upstairs hall painted. William was about 45 min late, but apologized as he came from a job. Understandable, but call. He verbally have us quote, but did not write one out at time. We also showed him kitchen and butler's pantry to paint as we already had paint. The day work was starting, no one was here at morn appt time. I called half hr later and got his voicemail. I then called again 25 min later and he answered. He said another guy was on his way. I told him that we hired him based on 10yrs union and would other worker have contract. He said no, I never gave you one? He said worker would have to come back and meet him to get contract. I said call when you wont be on time. Communicate you won't even be at job and figure out solution to contract now! It was a thur and he said if I needed contract, painter wouldnt start til monday. Then he asked if he could text quote and I said perfect solution. Shane painted our house, was courteous and did a nice job. William never told Shane he would need ladder for open stairwell and I showed him where our was to use. I made him sign receipt I wrote second day also as proof of payment. William stayed courteous throughout course of events, but I told him to run a business, he has to get his act together. We were very happy with Shane, but had trepidation initially as we had no idea how much experience he had. After i texted William to get kitchen/butler's estimate and he said he had no idea because he didnt write down anything to quote us! I sent him room sizes which are small, and pics, but price was $575 which seemed outrageous as we had paint and after above debacle, figured we would get a good price. He texted me price and never followed up. I gave him 4 stars as work was good, but he needs to get his act together and concentrate. He is a nice "kid"!
WWH Painting's reply
I admit being a little late and have definitely worked on that since then. I would never send an inexperienced painter to do a job. We all work together as a team and i know everyones strengths and weaknesses. The one thing i dont agree is being referred to as a "kid." I take our work very serious and treat everyone with respect. I haven't been a business owner for 30 years but have learned alot from others that have. Bottom line, the job didnt run perfectly but everyone was happy in the end. I apologize for the miscommunication.

I had a hole in my dining room ceiling, approx 5'x4', because of a water leak that caused my ceiling to collapse. It needed to be repaired with new plasterboard, muddled, sanded and repainted. Will was very professional and did an excellent job of making that hole go away. He kept me informed all the way through the job and did a great job of cleaning up after. I would hire him again!

So far they have done very well. They have been polite. Will seems to be a perfectionist! (I love that!) They were late starting, but that worked out for me. The job isn't finished yet, so I'm waiting to see how it turns out.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we will take a look at exactly what work needs to be completed. We can sit down talk and come up with an agreement which will then be put in a written contract. We will do the job EXACTLY how it was stated in contract.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was in the painters union for 10 years. During that time I did all types of work commercial, industrial, and residential. I took the following saftey classes during recent years. 4hr confined space, lead awarness, respirator protection, 4hr aeriel lift, 8hr scaffolding, and the OSHA 10hr. I have all certificates and a card that lists all courses.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My entire family is full of painters from working in the field to estimating in the office.
