In February of 2014 (during the week we had record cold temperatures) my gas boiler furnace would not fire up. With below zero temperatures I had to make the right decisions and act fast or else not only would it drop below zero in the house but my pipes could freeze as well. I bought a bunch of electric space heaters to help keep the temperature up inside and made sure the circulator pumps kept the water flowing through the heat lines to help make sure that they would not freeze. I tried installing 2 new thermal couplers hoping that would fix it but it did not. Going onto the second day I called Art from Finger Lakes Mechanical. I dreaded making the call because my situation was pretty much an emergency and thought for sure I would get charged extra. He came out almost immediately and diagnosed the problem as being the gas valve. He ordered the part, picked it up from his supplier and installed it the next day. To my surprise Art was more than fair with the cost of the repair even though I know he could have charged me a whole lot more. Again, Thanks Art! The Shea's :)
