FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies on the job, but I try to offer the right services for the right price. Every job I shoot has the option to buy physical prints, because I think they're extremely important to have. There is a stronger emotional and memorable part of holding the print in your hands than just seeing it on a screen.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to have a quick chat in person to understand the wants of the client. For events, I try to get to know the venue, and try as much as possible to get photos of every attendee. For wedding and engagement photos, I like to get to know the couple in an effort to try to capture a bit of their personality in the images. All delivered photos will be fully processed and retouched.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my education came from a theatrical background, so I like to think I appreciate the aspects of lighting extremely well. I have also taken classes and was a member at Pittsburgh Filmmakers. For my personal work, I still shoot on film, including developing my own film. i think working with film gives me an advantage when I shoot digital images for customers, because with film, it's got to be right; if I miss a shot I won't know until I develop it.
