Another fun challenge is to find a solution which uses the least amount of fittings to do the job without sacrificing functionality or efficiency. This is because fittings use cut pipes joined together to change the direction of pipe which restricts flow and introduces a point of potential weakness to the system. I was taught that fittings are like moving parts... Yes, they are necessary but the more moving parts the more that there is to brake. Sophistication can be reflected in a unique way when the simple (or as simple as can be for each application) becomes the most profound without sacrificing the latest technological options.
