- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing found on my website is basic and will fluctuate based on the specifics and details of your event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by chatting via phone or email. I ask a series of questions which includes whether they have an idea of the cake they would like. With so many brides using Pinterest, they almost always have photo examples. If they don’t know what they’d like, I put together some ideas based on the style/theme of their event and present it to them at their tasting. I ALWAYS tell my Pinterest brides that photos can be used as spring boards, but in order to honor the artistry of other cake designers, I will never copy someone’s work exactly. I’d rather work with the couple to make a cake as unique as they are!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in a variety of professional bakery settings for 10 years. I have taken multiple classes and continuing education courses as well as studying under the close tuteledge of some of Pittsburgh’s premier bakers and decorators.
