FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When seeking out a property manager, keep in mind what their priorities are. For example, ask yourself this: Are they a full-time property manager or a they a realtor that does property management on the side? A good property manager will do their due diligence and bring in a quality long term tenant that will pay rent on time and take care of your home. In this scenario your investment in your home will pay for itself. On the other hand, a realtor is in the business to sell homes and that is where they make their money. They don't make as much money spending time to bring in a good tenant and making sure your home is taken care of. Their priority is to sell homes so they hastily try find someone to live there so they can get back to selling homes. That is also the case with dealing with maintenance and housing compliance issues. They simply do not have the resources, knowledge and desire to manage homes. A lot of our customers have had real estate agents manage their properties and we commonly find that the priorities of a realtors is to sell a home. Managing homes will always come secondary and the owners and tenants will suffer in the long run.
