In 2017 I transitioned my business from residential to commercial construction and remodeling. I've been working with large commercial contractors coast to coast on a myriad of retail construction projects. For 5 years prior to that my company focused on commercial repair and maintenance. I am now offering residential construction and remodeling services again in addition to commercial.
The advantage to owning a company is that you can be selective in who you work with. I choose to work with professional, good people. You will not hear swearing or crass language from my crews. You will not find cigarette butts scattered around your property. My guys are polite, kind and motivated.
I absolutely love building. We build everything from houses and barns to retail spaces.
I enjoy doing work that lasts and that everyone involved can admire and be proud of.

I had a small job of adding an electrical outlet and a couple dimmer switches. Matt did the work quickly, and with a great attitude. He was very friendly and helpful. I'd use J & M again!

I had a list of 5-6 things that I needed worked on in my kitchen and Matt was exceptional. He's the kind of guy you can leave a house key with and leave for the day and feel completely comfortable doing so. We'll definitely be calling him again for future work!

I can't say enough good things about Matt Storey. I tried Thumbtack after I had been greatly disappointed by another contractor. I am moving and have a very tight deadline. I would never have been able to do it without Matt. He did everything he said he would do and then some. And he was on time, something rare today. I trusted him from the moment I talked with him on the phone. When I get settled again, Matt will be the first person I'll call to help with a fence and a deck, and anything else he can do, which is a lot. He's the best!!!!

I hired this contractor on the recommendation of a friend who added a second story onto her house. They built a 2-story barn and re-roofed/added onto another out building on my property. Nothing was slapped together. I was impressed that all the supports on both structures were notched and bolted together. Everything they did was built to last a long time.
Highly recommended.
