- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to speak with the customer and understand their job. We ask how many rooms of furniture they are moving, the locations we're moving from and to, and whether there are stairs or elevators at each location. We also ask if there is anything heavy, bulky, or awkward that needs to be moved. Once we understand the scope of the move, we give the customer the option of a fixed price or an hourly rate for the move.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been running a PODS storage business for the last 7 years. As part of that business, we offer loading and unloading services to our customers. The local point-to-point moves are a natural extension of that business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We've worked with over 2000 customers in the last 7 years - everything from small efficiency style apartments to 5 bedroom homes. Nothing is too small or big for us to handle.
