Betsy has been a massage therapist in the Charlotte area for 10 years. She worked full-time for two large massage offices and has previously owned her own mobile massage business. Originally from Chapel Hill, N.C., Betsy relocated to Charlotte in 1998 to be closer to her family. But she discovered her passion for massage and helping others after she experienced a fall in 2005 that caused her to have a herniated disk and a back injury. Massage therapy was the most effective way to manage the pain from her back injury. Consistent therapeutic massage, combined with a lifestyle focused on health and wellness was the key for Betsy alleviating her pain from the injury. After experiencing the immediate benefits of massage, Betsy decided to become a licensed massage therapist. She graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy (now called the Southeastern Institute) in February 2007. Betsy cares deeply about delivering individualized care to each client through a personalized plan to respond to a range of needs. Her tailored treatments help clients who experience lower and upper back problems, tension, and muscle pains. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $80 for 1 hour, $110 for 90 minutes & $140 for 2 hours. All new clients receive their first 60 minutes for $55, 90 minute for $85 and 120 minutes for $115. We have great packages at discounted rates to make massage affordable for everyone. We also offer $10 store credit towards your next massage or package for every person you refer to us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When meeting new clients I perform a thorough intake to insure massage is safe for the client. I also like to understand what concerns the client may have & how I can make their session meet their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have certification & special training in 1st trimester prenatal massage along with other certifications for NMT, trigger point, reflexology & other various modalities & techniques.
