I was very excited with all the information that was provided. I am grateful that someone who travels the world, would grace us with her presence. Often people are too busy to reach back for those who need help. The information that was given, made me realize that I am not alone on my new journey to gain back my life. I am very interested in networking with others. I was given value and validation that my life matters. My experiences matter. My pain matters. No matter what obstacles I face. I can jump higher, run longer, and be a beacon of light to others. I hope one day to be standing in front of a crowd telling my stories. Lakeisha McKnight is a light! She is very approachable. We need more people like her. I might be small. But, I dream big! I thank Sankofa for reaching out to her and having her as a guest speaker!

Ms. McKnight spoke at an event held at my center (The KaLu Center) on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Her presentation was riveting, information and entertaining. She shared some very poignant life lessons based on personal experiences and engaged the crowd very well. I thoroughly enjoyed all that she had to offer and look forward to working with her!
