FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are able to quote hourly prices for handyman services, design services but most of our work is based on how long we estimate the job to take, how many men the job will take and therefore the best way for us to estimate your job is to meet and see what you need. We'll discuss the details, designs , products and that usally enablies us to work up a firm written quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually we start with a phone conversation where we get the basics for any project that they may have. Then we schedule a time to meet in person and see the areas in question and discuss the details further. We discuss the client's expectations for the outcome of their project. At that time we usually send the client a written quote or we meet again to go over designs, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in business since 1983 originally as a painting contractor. As the years went by we added some carpentry services, additions, flooring installation, remodeling, etc. In 2001 we incoorporated. We've studied and passed the test for a Class B Virginia State Contractors License. With this license we are able to contract any job up to 150,000.00. We have done jobs that in completion we're worth more then that but we broken up in stages that enabled us to still do the complete the work necessary but under seperate contracts. Most of our training has be self taught and experience. We've worked right along side of highly skilled professionals and learned along the way. We say we've been to the school of Hard Knocks. Experience is the best teacher when it comes to constructions. You can study the books and pass the tests but if you can't apply the knowledge then you're not any good. We are constantley studing new products where they are useful and how they are installed ,etc.
