Introduction: I have been playing the drums for over 10 years, including performance and recording experience with professional musicians. I recently played drums on an album that has just been signed to Ropeadope Records Label in New York City. I have studied and played at Jazz Workshops at the New York University Steinhardt School of Music and the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I have also been studying with some of the best drummers of their time, including Billy Hart and Bob Moses. I took classes, ensembles, and lessons at the New England Conservatory pre-college, and received the highest level of the jazz certificate at the program when I graduated. I went on to get accepted into New England Conservatory of Music with scholarship to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance. I have performed at many venues such as the Boston Public Library Courtyard, The Hatch Memorial Shell Boston, Symphony Hall, Wally's Jazz Cafe, Renaissance Boston, Smalls Jazz Club NYC, Woodstock Opera House in Chicago and many more. I am an experienced musician with integrity and determination. I want to teach anyone who has the same passion to study the drums as I do. Music embodies everything I do with my life, and I would like to show young children and beginners the beauty and importance of the drums and where the instrument could take them in the future. The enthusiasm and electricity I bring to the bandstand carries over to my teaching and instruction. My goal is to show my students the skills necessary to play the material they want and use what they have learned to play with other musicians. Music is a gift that everyone should bring into their lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will teach any beginner/intermediate student the fundamentals of playing the drums. I start with breaking down hand technique and stick placement. From their I give the student a series of rudiments, syncopation exercises, and listening assignments. If a student expresses a specific area of study and practice, I will help them improve in that area until they are happy with the results.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I stared teaching elementary school students in my hometown when I was a student in high school. After seeing the joy of students getting better at their instrument and becoming passionate like I am, I wanted to continue teaching students percussion and musicianship.
