FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love communcation. Especially when it comes to providing the soundtrack to someones special occasion, I want to know exactly what they want how they want it. I always answer emails quickly and get a set list that the customer is happy with. Once everything is set I follow up every so often to make sure details are set, but not often enough to be hassle. I always encourage customers to call, email, or text anytime they want. I never am to busy to talk about their event and any ideas or concerns they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BA in music from Chico State. Since graduating in 2012 I've worked as a full time musician and music educator. Shortly after I formed my modern jazz ensemble, Bogg. Since we formed we've played over 250 dates ranging from weddings, to coporate parties, to bars. This wide range of performances has allowed us and myself to be malleable to any situation and perform exactly what the client and audience wants to hear.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was young I knew wanted to be a musician. While other kids where obsessed with sports and video games, I remember sitting in my room with my friends listening and talking about music. I became obsessed with playing piano after discovering jazz in high school. My skill set of being classically trained but also competent in chord reading and improvisation has allowed me really awesome opportunities and I know what to keep growing as an artist and performing people the rest of my life!
