Kenny provided services which included professional development, personal development, and time management. I rated each service 5 stars because I have improved regarding each subject matter. Through professional development, Kenny shared the importance of keeping up with current events. Recommended resources included medical journals, healthcare politics, as well as current news within my organization. By adding these practices to my daily routine, I found it easier to converse and build relationships with my coworkers, classmates, and surrounding upper management. In addition to building relationships, my professional development improved due to increased knowledge about my profession. My work includes making day to day decisions with other healthcare professionals that will in return, impact others. As a result, I am more confident with my decisions, which gives me more time to focus on other important factors throughout my day. Personally, I am more focused and willing to take risks with my career. I have developed confidence on a personal level. Kenny provided me with the opportunity to do work that was outside of my current role, and geared more towards what I envisioned doing in my future endeavors. With such exposure, I could determine I am making the right decisions for myself and my career. As a result, I created new goals to achieve. Many of which includes taking a risk, which is not always an easy thing to do. It is a working progress, but I am sure I will benefit by being persistent and confident. Time management is very important to master on a day to day basis. For example, I was appointed by Kenny to focus on the staff development within my department, which required agendas, meetings, and presentations. Throughout this project, I learned the importance of conducting a timed meeting, and how to allocate a certain amount of time for each topic. This allows every topic to be discussed, which leads to an effective and beneficial meeting. Overall, Kenny has been professional and very motivational. He is easy to work with and very understanding. I was always able to express my concerns and he was always helpful in finding a solution. My experience has been great and worth my time. Kenny is definitely a great example of a leader who understands the importance of nurturing others to reach one’s full potential.

10 years of leadership experience. During these 10 years, my focus has always been on developing others and preparing them to succeed.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started helping others achieve their goals when I coached Cross Country running and Track & Field. This is where I learned how to care about those who I am coaching and leading. I then transferred this experience into my professional work in healthcare administration. Over the last decade, I have always worked to develop my team to help them reach their goals, even if it meant someone will be transferring out of my team.
