FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Project costs vary depending on the skills, equipment, and knowledge necessary. Carpentry tasks start at rates of $35 per hour. Garden maintenance is billed at a rate of $25 per hour. Hourly rates have a one hour minimum and project supplies are not included in the cost (i.e. wood, screws, mulch, etc). In some cases, it is more affordable for customers to have an entire project bid with a flat rate that includes the cost of materials, which I am open to doing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each client I work with has a unique set of circumstances and specific requirements for the project they want completed. I want to build a quality working relationship with my clients, so I can understand and meet their expectations. Once we schedule days for the work to be completed, they can rest easy knowing they have a dedicated professional who shows up on time and delivers what was promised.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Environmental Science and am currently enrolled in a graduate program for a Masters in Management and Leadership. I was raised on a family farm where I became well antiquated with natural processes, gardening projects, manual labor, and physical tasks. I recently finalized over a year of service as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, where I developed an understanding of many carpentry and construction projects. When the skills are combined, I feel competent performing most home, farm, and garden maintenance tasks.
