FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It was a hard lesson from the onset, but these days I stick to the mantra of replacing something once... only once... with the right material. What’s cheap isn’t always what’s best. That being said, I’m also founded in the belief that recycling and reusing absolutely anything wherever possible, can produce exactly the same result as replacing that material with an expensive alternative. It takes time, fuel, and a coordinated effort to make the correct materials appear on site. I quote everything with that in mind. Rest assured there will never be any surprise expenses when the final invoice arrives. I don’t complete any work unless we’ve discussed all the variables and expenses involved in length and to clarity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally I come out for a consultation, nail down specifics, measure and remeasure for materials, walk through my process with the property owner. Once I’ve had a chance to evaluate and calculate the variables (usually later that evening), I send over a formal estimate to be reviewed by the property owner.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Safety first! I am an OSHA 30 cardholder and always strive to keep updated on the latest safety practices. Most of my construction experience and training has been hands-on and under the careful supervision of journeymen with several decades of construction knowledge.
